CATHOLIC COMMITTEE ON SCOUTING

Appointed by the Bishop to foster the Boy Scout program in parishes as an integral part of the Church's youth ministry. The Committee accomplishes this by: establishing new Cub Packs, Scout Troops, and Venture Crews; developing a religious education program for Scouts through the Religious Emblems Program, retreats, and other religious services; training leaders through the Scouter Development program to understand their role as the Church's ministry to youth.
